Publication of Newsletter – Yakhma Samachar.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that our trio-monthly Newsletter – Yakshma Samachar – has received wide apperication from all sections of the society. It contains useful articles regarding various aspects of the disease and has been a good source of creating awareness among the community. We intend to increase its circulation the days to come.
Assistance to poor Tb patients – Yakshma Nidan kendra
Yakshma Nidan Kendra is a landmark achievement of the Association where we provide free medicines to poor TB patients. So far 214 patients have been registered at the Kendra, out of which 140 patients have been cured. At present 60 patients are under treatement. It is a joint ventur with Abhishek Memorial Trust who provides free investigation while the BTA provides free medicines. We are happy to note here that we are serving the poor patients with what ever resources we have at our disposial. We propose to establish a full fleged charitable TB Clinic as and when we become capable for doing so.
